New Delhi, Dec 19: A workplace however large or small has to be driven by efficiency and achievement that manifests itself in the form of tangible results for the company. Irrespective of the industry you are in, there's nothing more important in your job than productivity.

Employers want productive employees! And if you are productive, then you will be seen more as a giver than a taker, and you'll prosper in your job. It is also no surprise that best employees in an organization are the ones who document their productivity, and ultimately they would reap all the rewards that the job brings with it. If you feel you are lacking somewhere, here are few tips that you can implement, in order to get more done in less time.

Sharpen Your Focus

You must have heard it before: to get ahead at work, and in life, you need to focus what's really important to you. However, it is also not surprising that with so much going on in our routine lives we tend to lose our focus. Though a lot of people nowadays train themselves to be a multitasker, in reality the human mind is only meant to do one task at a time. Focus, focus, focus! The more you can focus the more productive and efficient you are and the less stressed and anxious you will be. To do so, you need to eliminate all distractions around you and use your mind like a laser beam to concentrate on the one important task that is most important to you. Here are some of the parts:

* Plan your day: This will remove you of the worries that come with leaving some of the most important tasks
* Clear your desk: Tidy desk means tidy mind. Don't get caught up in such distractions. Just sort them
* Eliminate noises: No TV, radio, etc.
* Turn off the phone
* Close your computer
* Do now allow coworkers to engage you (politely of course)
