New Delhi: In 2013, you must have seen your friends posting their pictures on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. May be you've probably shared one of yourself at some point. So it's no surprise that Oxford dictionaries' 2013 word of the year was "selfie." The word got popular even before U.S. President Barack Obama took his famous snapshot alongside the leaders of Britain and Denmark at the memorial for Nelson Mandela in South Africa. Typically, people snap a selfie whenever they want to document a time or place in their lives and then they share them on social networks. People see the photo. It gets Likes, Faves, and comments. And life goes on.

But after selfie, there's a new sub-category that is growing at a much faster rate. It's called belfie – or a butt selfie. Kim Kardashian started a storm back in October when she posted a selfie of her famous behind after she'd been working out, sparking thousands of copycat attempts keen for the same level of attention. The snap rocketed around the world as Kim's post-pregnancy weight loss was marvelled at.
