OnePlus One will be Amazon exclusive in India
New Delhi: OnePlus's high-end smartphone, the One, will be an Amazon exclusive in India.
Amazon has posted an image to its website saying that the One, popularly known as a 'flagship killer', is expected to be available in the coming days.
The official teaser from Amazon India notes, "The smartphone you have been waiting for, is coming soon," accompanied by an image of the One and hashtag '#TheOneThing'.
OnePlus One has also announced a ‘#NeverSettle Contest for INDIA' contest where you just need to click a selfie displaying your #NeverSettle message. You can post statements like ‘#NeverSettle for less than the best.' or “#NeverSettle for boring.' Around 100 lucky winners from among the posted picture will get the right to buy this handset in India.
OnePlus One handset features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD JDI screen with LTPS technology and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor. The device runs Cyanogen 11S based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
The handset comes with 3GB of RAM and will be available in two variants: 32GB and 64GB.
The handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera with IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also includes a 5MP front camera, ideal for selfie lovers and those who use their devices for video conferencing purposes.
The device supports only one micro SIM. The battery life of the OnePlus One is 3100 mAh meaning it will last an entire day or even more.
The handset measures 152.9 × 75.9 × 8.9 millimeters and weighs 162 grams.
A recent report citing Carl Pei, Director of OnePlus Global, claimed that the 64GB version of the OnePlus One would launch with a price tag of less than Rs. 25,000 in India.
