Did Alia Bhatt just REACT on the open letter against her over ‘Bihari Migrant’ role in ‘Udta Punjab’?
New Delhi: Alia Bhatt is quite popular for her bubbly nature and bindaas attitude. The actress has carved a niche for herself in a very less time and has even won accolades for her performance in movies like ‘Highway’ and ‘2 States’.
And now the diva will be seen in an intense role in her forthcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’ where she will be playing the role of a Bihari migrant.
Alia’s look in the movie has left everyone stunned and the lady has garnered a lot of appreciation for her role and the portrayal.
However, she also received flak for not doing justice to her role in the movie.
Recently, Shefali S Jha from Asianet Newsable.com had written an open letter to Alia Bhatt in which she has questioned the diva’s preparation and her description of a ‘Bihari’. It started a debate over social media on whether the ‘Highway’ actress has stereotyped the people from Bihar.
But, it looks like Alia Bhatt knows the art of giving befitting response to her haters.
The diva shared a pic on her Twitter account which comprised of a caption that reads – “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, plus a social media overreaction.”
Well! Alia did made her point, indirectly though. We hope the scores are settled now.
Currently, Alia is busy promoting ‘Udta Punjab’ also starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. Helmed by Abhishek Choubey, the movie will hit the theatres on June 17, 2016.
