Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set to hit the screens on April 28 but pro-Kannada organisations have demanded Sathyaraj aka Kattappa’s apology for his controversial remarks in order to release the film in Karnataka. Director SS Rajamouli reacted on the issue saying that stalling the release will not affect Sathyaraj, only the film will get affected.
While speaking to a leading magazine SS Rajamouli said that Sathyaraj acted in the film and was paid for it. Thus, anything against Baahubali will not affect him as he is not the director.
He further said that after Sathyaraj made remarks nine years back, almost his 30 films were released but nobody had issues with that and now when Bahaubali: The Conclusion is all set to hit in few days, it is not right to rake up the matter.
Rajamouli further added that the film has nothing to do with Sathyaraj or his opinion.
He said, “We feel turning the anger on Sathyaraj towards Baahubali is not right.”
Reports suggest that no distributors or exhibitors are keen to buy the rights of the film as there are chances of facing backlash from pro-Kannada groups.
The first part of the franchise Baahubali: The Beginning received great response from the audience and also performed well at the box office.
