Daddy: Arjun Rampal’s film gets postponed, will now release on September 8
Arjun Rampal's Daddy, which is based on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gulab Gawli, has been postponed. The film, which was earlier scheduled for July 21 release, will now arrive in theatres on September 8. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh broke the news on Twitter, which Rampal confirmed by retweeting.
"#Daddy, which was scheduled for release on 21 July, will now release on 8 Sept 2017... Stars Arjun Rampal... Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia," Adarsh wrote.
The film also featuring Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rajesh, follows Gawli as he attempts to enter politics. Recently, the makers released the Eid Mubarak song in which sizzling chemistry between Arjun and Aishwarya stole the show. The actress tells Arjun aka Arun not to go anywhere ahead of Eid. The video also provides a sneak-peak into the film. The Qawwali song is not only catchy but also conveys a lot about the film.
Daddy is expected to be a game changer for Arjun Rampal who was last seen in Rock on 2 and Kaahani 2. Also, the chemistry between Arjun and Aishwarya will be like a breath of fresh air.
When the Daddy trailer hit the internet, it went went viral within an instant. Arjun Rampal as Arun Gawli not only looked great but also promising in the promo. The striking resemblance between the actor and gangster-turned-politician was spot on and, people couldn’t help but stare in awe.
