Jab Harry Met Sejal Mini Trail: SRK and Anushka nails as Punjabi-Gujarati pair. Here's how Bollywood reacted
Shah Rukh Khan as he promised has released a mini trail of his upcoming Imtiaz Ali film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The title of the movie gives away a hint that the story revolves around a Punjabi Munda Harinder Singh Nehra who’s a happy-go-lucky guy clearly in love with his life. Fans are going to see the romantic version of Shah Rukh Khan once again on screen after the cameo in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. SRK has been playing tad serious roles in his last movies like ‘Raees’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’. SRK buffs were more than just eager to see Shah Rukh Khan in the mushy avatar yet again and so their wish has been fulfilled. Red Chillies as well as the lead actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma shared the mini trail on their twitter accounts.
There you go!
Shah Rukh Khan can be seen playing playboy who’s always having an eye for beautiful girls. And the funny part is that Harry can be seen accepting the fact blatantly with Sejal. She, on the other hand, is a dumb girl who’s so naive to even know what happens to a girl in the worst case. You can sense a touch of Gujarati in her accent as she speaks. Sample how she speaks ‘Eggjactly’.
Anushka Sharma, being Sejal, is giving a ‘Taani Throwback’ from ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ as she plays an innocent girl who doesn’t know any better. Only for this time, she switched from being Punjabi to Gujarati. The chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is noticeable. The duo has already established itself as a fabulous pair in their previous ventures ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. We cannot undermine the fact that Anushka has it in her to match the acting finesse of King Khan and yet again, the Phillauri actress have proven herself to be no less.
Bollywood celebrities couldn't hold themselves from praising the mini trail of 'Jab Harry Met Sejal'. Here's how they reacted:
Alia Bhatt just loved the mini-trail.
Filmmaker Karan Johar praises Imtiaz Ali for his directorial finesse and also the effortless chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
On SRK being cheesy and playboy-ish the movie, filmmaker Shanoo Sharma replied:
Jab Harry Met Sejal is a romantic drama by Imtiaz Ali which features Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead role. The flick has averted a major clash of the year with Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha by releasing the film on August 4 instead of August 11. The mini-trail looks promising even in its 30-second clipping.
