Kaala Karikaalan: Nana Patekar to play key role in Rajinikanth’s 164th film
As soon as the name of Rajinikanth’s 164th film was revealed by Dhanush, there was complete buzz all around. The much-awaited film titled Kaala Karikaalan has already made huge headlines. Now, to add the perfect ingredient to the masterpiece, unconventional and talented actor Nana Patekar is all set to become a major part of the movie.
The makers of the Tamil film have confirmed Nana has been roped in to play a pivotal role. The principal shooting of the Pa. Ranjith-directed film began in Mumbai on Sunday. Announcing the full cast in a statement, the makers revealed that Nana Patekar, apart from a bevy of supporting actors, plays an important role.
Son-in-law revealing the posters of the film and wrote, “Wunderbar films presents superstar Rajinikanth in and as thalaivar164.”While one of the posters features a fierce and intense Rajinikanth in a close-up shot, the second features him sitting in a jeep, against the backdrop of Dharavi slum. In yet another rumoured gangster role, Rajinikanth will once again play his age in the film after Kabali.
It was also confirmed that actress Huma Qureshi plays the leading lady.The film also stars Samuthirakani and Anjali Patil. The statement added that the film's shooting here will go on non-stop for 40 days. Produced by Dhanush, the movie has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
