New mommy Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is enjoying every bit of her motherhood reportedly refused to work with Jab Harry Met Sejal star Shah Rukh Khan in his next Anand L Rai project. According to the reports published in a leading daily, Anand L Rai earlier approached Kareena Kapoor to play the leading lady opposite Shah Rukh in his yet-to-be-titled project.

Anand L Rai’s untitled project was always in news due its star casts. Rai found it tough to choose from Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma. He had recently opted for Katrina and Anushka for the film.

Interestingly, according to the reports published in a leading daily, Rai was earlier keen to cast Kareena for this role. But Kareena due to some personal and professional reasons refused to work in the project.

Sharing more details about the reason behind Kareena’s refusal for SRK’s film, a report said that as the dates of Veerey Di Wedding was clashing with Rai’s untitled project, Kareena had to refuse.

The source added, ‘’The filmmaker offered the role to Kareena, but her dates were clashing with Veerey Di Wedding. Also, she did not want to start shooting immediately post motherhood as she wanted to lose all the weight that she had gained. That’s how Rai approached Anushka for the role and she was on board.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh while talking about his next project with Rai said, ‘’For me, this film is technologically the most superior one made in India. Considering the technology we’ve used, it’s quite awesome that we’ve created such a film in India. I am so proud that my team is involved in it. In fact, we have set up a whole new office in Goregaon (for it). We have shot for around 10-15 days and Anand has told me that he will edit it and show me (the final results).”
