Raabta collects 5.61 crore on Day 1The Dinesh Vijan's directional debut fails to impress critics.
The reincarnation drama Raabta hit the cinemas yesterday amid much excitement and plagiarism case. The film, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon failed to impress the audience as well as the critics. Now, the first day box-office collection of the movie is out. Raabta has collected Rs 5.61 crore on the first day of its opening, according to latest box-office figures.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter and announced the first day box-office collection of the film. ““#Raabta Fri ₹ 5.61 cr. India biz”, he tweeted. Giving his personal review on Dinesh Vijan’s directional venture, he said,” Terrible.Bad writing. Bad direction. Bad acting”.
Several Bollywood celebs praised the film and, said they are simply in awe with the adorable chemistry between the lead actors. Truly, Sushant and Kriti look amazing together and, even though the duo hasn’t come out in public to express their love for each other, several speculations suggest otherwise.
Raabta portrays the story wrapped with unfinished business of previous life, love, war and separation. Neerja actor Jim Sarbh plays an antagonist in the film. As a charming bloke Shiv, Sushant woos with his style. It was him, who made even the cheesy pick-up lines and not-so-funny jokes look good. He wonderfully played the character of self-obsessed boy who thinks he is an asset to ladies. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon looked lovely and yes, the chemistry between the two is just bang on.
Raabta is a love story that transcends beyond the boundaries of time. The film narrates the story of two ordinary individuals whose lives were going on track until their paths cross. It features Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh in the lead roles. Deepika Padukone has also made a cameo in this film.
