Riteish Deshmukh reveals the reason for doing ‘Banjo’
It’s been a while that actor Riteish Deshmukh has been spotted in long tresses and beard. Well, this wasn’t for any fashion statement but because of his upcoming movie ‘Banjo’.
Riteish will be seen playing the role of a street musician in the movie and is quite excited about it.
However, he had a big reason for being a part of ‘Banjo’.
The ‘Masti’ actor recently confessed that he had actually fell in love with the story and the character as soon as it was narrated to him. And this is why he ended up signing the movie.
"While I was narrated the script I fell in love with the film's storyline and the character...You listen to the story first then if the character is also good then it interests us. Me and Ravi (Jadhav) both are good friends. After 'Balak-Palak', we wanted to work together and 'Banjo' script came to us. I am very happy to be a part of this film," said Ritiesh.
Riteish also stated, "'Banjo' the name itself is that of a musical instrument. If music isn't good then the film fails. The composers Vishal-Shekhar have done a wonderful job. They are the backbone of the film".
‘Banjo’ is directed by National Award winning Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav. The movie will be his Debut Hindi film.
Also starring Nargis Fakhri Banjo is scheduled to release on September 23.
