It’s evident that cricket monks were missing the ‘Sachin Sachin’ cheers in arena. So this movie had an already-booming subject and that is none other than Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar himself. The audience response on its first day was impressive enough to say that the movie has managed to create a mark among masses. Every cricket follower, varying from a 18-year old lad to a 50 year old man were seen with tricolor-painted cheeks and jersey no. 10 in the movie halls. The huge crowd at the multiplexes on the day of its release elucidates that Sachin needs no publicity or promotions, the name in itself is enough.

Apart from the audience reactions, the box office numbers are also singing about the remarkable success of the biopic. It managed to sack INR 8.40 crore on its opening day. Now considering it’s a documentary-drama film, these numbers are quite flattering and signifies a huge success of the film.

Today, Sachin: A Million Dreams released in UK. The movie has earned massive respect in the reviews and many movie critics even refused to give a star rating to the movie, owing to the greatness of the legendary cricketer’s personality. Renowned movie critic, Taran Adarsh gave a brief review of the movie on his official Twitter account.

Last week, the romantic-drama film ‘Half Girlfriend’ raked in INR 10.27 crore on its opening and Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ earned INR 2.50 crore on its very first day. However, Half Girlfriend’s box office graph shows a declining trend this week as it managed to earn only INR 1.76 in week 2. Hindi Medium on the other hand collected more on the second Friday as compared to its opening day.
