Dare you to stop Shilpa Shinde from getting work: Raj Thackeray’s MNS jumps in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai row
New Delhi: The controversy surrounding sitcom ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hi’ thickened today after political party MNS dived right into the middle of it. Raj Thackeray’s party MNS has threatened to ‘use their own means’ if actress Shilpa Shinde is denied work in the industry.
Shilpa who played ’Angoori Bhabhi’ quit the show a few weeks ago alleging that the makers of the show tortured her mentally.
After her abrupt exit, it was being said that CINTAA is thinking of banning Shilpa from getting any work in the television industry. A furious Shilpa had in a statement said that CINTAA cannot stop her from working and that the association did not help her when she approached them after fallout with producers.
Taking Shilpa’s side on the whole issue, MNS said that she is being harassed because she is a Marathi. The party also asserted that not only Shilpa, if any Marathi actor faces trouble in the industry, then MNS will retort to their own means.
“I have not done anything wrong which would trouble producers. When they did not find another artist, they joined hands with the association to pressurise me. The association is writing a letter that ‘Shilpa shouldn’t be given any work’, which is why I came to MNS for help.”
Raj Thackery’s wife Shalini too has come out in support of Shilpa.
