Body shamed to style icon: Sonakshi Sinha reveals all about her fashion sense

New Delhi: Actress Sonakshi Sinha has for quite long invited criticism for her style. From being shamed for her weight and dressing style to starting new trends, Shotgun Junior has come a long way in terms of her fashion sense.


The Dabangg girl accepted that she needed grooming and that her styling always pulled her back but not anymore. She credits her stylist friends for her change.  "The way I dress now is a result of a a lot of inputs from a lot of people . In the last two years, I have worked with some really good stylists,"

she said in a recent interview.

Sona also accepts that losing a few kilos weight helped her get compliments from every nook and corner.  

She said,

“I have needed help in that department. Eventually, I started looking better and getting compliments. So, it's natural to want to do it yourself.”

While most B-town ladies are secretive about their style secrets, Sonakshi isn’t. Lately during one of her interviews she revealed who helped her groom herself to become a style diva.

It was her close friend stylist Sakshi Mehra.

“"Sakshi stepped in and really changed my style around. So I started thinking like her. She knows what I like, what I would want to wear, etc. She no longer lives in Mumbai but her assistant Chinar Desai has stayed on,”

she added.

Sonakshi has been body-shamed quite a number of times. The fashion police and Twitter trolls have many times in the past made fun of what she wore.

Despite such negative feedback, Sona kept working in improving herself.

In a recent incident, Sonakshi walked the ramp for designer Anita Dongre at the Lakme Fashion Week 2016. Dressed in blue skirt and shirt, Sonakhsi was through her contagious energy put up quite the show for the spectators.
