Tamil remake of Queen starring Kajal Aggarwal titled Paris Paris

Vikas Bahl helmed 2014 comedy-drama Queen is all set for its Tamil remake titled Paris Paris. The movie which made Kangana Ranaut a star and won her 62nd National Award will have Singham fame Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind who is directing its Kannada remake will direct the Tamil version as well.

Recently, the first poster of the movie was released which features a butterfly with its wings spread. While life in Paris has been shown together as a montage in the wings, Kajal is proudly standing in between connecting them. The protagonist will be based in Virudhunagar, afterwards she will travel to Paris and then Barcelona and London. The project also marks the debut of composer Amit Trivedi in southern film industry. Kajal said that it is a special project and she will treat this in her own way. 

Reportedly, Tamannaah Bhatia may play the lead in Telugu version while the Malayalam version will have Manjima Mohan. Kajal was last seen in Ajith's blockbuster Vivegam and Rana Daggubati's Nene Raju Nene Mantri. On a related note, Queen is the story of a girl's adventure who goes to her honeymoon destination alone after being dumped by her fiance. The movie won six National Awards including the Best Film,  Best Cinematography,  Best Director and Best Editing among others.
