The story revolves around two estranged brothers, with Akshay Kumar playing David Fernandez and Siddharth Malhotra essaying the role of Monty Fernandez, who turn against each other. Their love turns into hatred so strong, they won't have second thoughts before killing each other.
Both Akshay and Siddharth stole the show with their realistic performances. Overall, "Brothers" is a well-made emotional drama worth a dekho for the paisa-vasool fight sequences.
Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty
A 2014 release, ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty' starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Freddy Daruwala was helmed by A. R. Murugadoss.
The film revolves around an Army Officer Virat Bakshi, played by Akshay Kumar, who witnesses a bomb blast during his vacation. He later learns that a terrorist group has planned serial blasts in Mumbai in a couple of days with the help of 12 sleeper agents. Though Virat manages to kill all 12 sleeper cells, a series of mind games begin between the main villain Freddy Daruwala and Akshay Kumar.
A remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki, ‘Holiday' was highly appreciated by the critics. However, the romantic angle of the film was criticised. Yet the film managed to enter the Rs. 100 crore club.
After Holiday, Akshay gave another patriotic movie in the form of ‘Baby'. The film starred Tapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati and Danny Denzongpa apart from Akshay Kumar.
Helmed by Neeraj Pandey, ‘Baby'is a story of a group of secret agents headed by Danny whose jobs is to locate and eliminate the terrorists who are planning attacks in India.

The film revolves around a man Aditya, played by Akshay Kumar, who has decided to fight corruption in his own way with the help of some young students.
The film was a remake of the 2002 Tamil film Ramanaa and became one of the biggest hits of 2015 so far. However, the film got a mixed response at the box office.
Akshay Kumar was loved in his rough bearded look in the film.
Another Tamil remake, ‘Rowdy Rathore' is a 2012 film helmed by Prabhu Deva starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Paresh Ganatra, Yashpal Sharma, Gurdeep Kohli and Nassar.
While Akshay Kumar was seen in a double role in the film, ‘Rowdy Rathore' marked his re-entry to the action genre after a gap of seven years.
The film revolves around a thief Shiva played by Akshay Kumar whose life takes a new turn after he is handed over with a responsibility of looking after the daughter of his deceased lookalike ACP Vikram Rathore along with dealing with the main villain Baapji.
The film was declared a blockbuster hit in India and had a bumper opening as it collected over Rs. 15 crores on the first day of its release. ‘Rowdy Rathore' later entered the Rs. 100 crore club as well.
