New Delhi: Superstar Akshay Kumar is the undisputed ruler of hearts. Without a Godfather in the industry, Ravi Hari Om Bhatia became Akshay Kumar, one of the most bankable actors of the Bollywood.

He started his journey in 1991 with ‘Saugandh' and his entry via a hand walk is still remembered by his fans. In the former years of 1990's Akshay Kumar was mostly known for his action movies. With Khiladi series, he earned the name Khiladi Kumar and his movies were a huge hit given his action sequences were far better than his contemporaries.

But, with time Akshay, who has a black belt in Taekwondo, thought to shed-off his action-hero image. From there on, the actor who was seen breaking bones of the antagonists, started laugh riots. His comic timing was as impeccable as his action skills. His fans loved him more, seeing this side of him, and the ones who criticised  him for being only an action hero turned into his admirers.

1. Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi

This 1997 blockbuster movie portrayed Akshay as the Bollywood version of the fictional character ‘Sheikh Chilli'.  Along with Juhi Chawla who was his heroine and Kader Khan who was her father, Akshay Kumar stunned audiences with his sense of humour. 2. Hera Pheri
