New Delhi: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is known to seek real-life inspiration for his films, is currently working on his next, Calendar Girls.

The director has revealed a poster from his movie few moments ago. With the caption "FIVE new FACES. FIVE new JOURNEYS. CALENDAR GIRLS and their Date with Destiny:01.05.2015. ", the poster gives full glimpse of what Calendar Girls will be.

The plot will revolve around models who gain popularity after featuring in famous calendars.  The film will apparently also feature a character based on industrialist Vijay Mallya.

In the past, actors Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Esha Gupta and others have shot to fame after featuring in the calendar promoted by Mallya.

In the picture, the faces of the girls are being kept under wraps for now.  Madhur was certain that he wanted girls who were not only glamorous, but had acting skills to boot.

Earlier there were reports that he had approached model-turned-actress Deepika Padukone for the film but the rumours were quashed. Bhandarkar, who has helmed films like "Fashion", "Page 3" and "Corporate", last directed a project titled “Heroine” in 2012 featuring Kareena Kapoor.

The curiosity around the newcomers has peaked, but the only thing the makers are willing to reveal at this point, is that they are models from different Indian cities.

Bhandarkar was slated to begin work on a film with Priyanka Chopra, titled Madamji. However, its shoot has been pushed to October.

For now all we can say is that Calnedar Girls seems to be yet another women centric film by ace director.
