New Delhi: Soon after the news of ‘Baghban' director Ravi Chopra's unfortunate demise went viral Bollywood celebs with moist eyes were spotted making a beeline at the prayer meet held at late director's residence in Mumbai on Wednesday evening.

Bollywood actors like Hema Malini, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Rani Mukjerjee, Chunky Pandey, Aditya Chopra among many others rushed to pay their last respect to the late director.

The funeral was reported to take place at 11.00 a.m. at Pawan Hans in Vile Parle in Mumbai today.

The 68-year-old TV series ‘Mahabharat' director was reportedly suffering from a severe lung ailment since the last few years.

Ravi Chorpra is survived by his wife and three children. Son of late B.R. Chopra, Ravi was also known for directing "The Burning Train", "Aaj Ki Awaz", and "Baabul", among others. Ravi Chopra is survived by his wife and three children.

Many other Bollywood celebs expressed their grief on the demise of the filmmaker.

While director Madhur Bhandarkar was "Saddened to hear about the demise", director Farah Khan remembered him as "One of the nicest, kindest and big hearted soul in the film industry".
