MTV EMA 2014: And the winners are... (see pics)
New Delhi: International music industry witnessed the best of them getting honoured the last night.
At the recently held MTV EMA 2014, several songsters and music crooners made for a stupendous aura at the prestigious award ceremony.
All boy band One Direction made it big at the MTV European Music Awards winning three awards in main category and two in regional. The band was not in the presence to receive the award.
Another surprise at the show was the band called 5 Seconds of Summer. The group popularly called boy band in media circuits won 3 awards at the event including Best New and Artist on The Rise.
None the two bands succeeded to top another and won equal number of awards. 5 Seconds of Summer owe their success to One Direction to some extent. It's the One Direction which gave them the chance to perform live on the stage the first time.
Female artists led the award by winning best song, best hip hop and best video. Ariana Grande, Katy Perry did pretty well winning two awards each.
The biggest disappointment for Eminem's fans was that the rapper failed to win any award at the show.
The award ceremony was held in Glasgow, Scotland and saw the singers perform live. Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande graced the event with their voice and their outfit.
