Sylvester Stallone sees dead son, sends family to perform 'shradh' in Haridwar
Haridwar: The family of Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone was recently in Haridwar to perform the Shraddh of his son, who died of an alleged drug overdose in 2012, a leading English daily reported.
Stallone, who is famous for his iconic role as 'Rocky Balboa', told a Vedic scholar from India that he still sees his dead son Sage. He was advised to perform the shradh to be able to find some peace. He was further told that any blood relative can perform the rites.
Fearing the paparazzi and not wanting to grab any attention, the 69 year old actor sent his kin to do the puja for Sage, who was just 36 when he was discovered dead in his Los Angeles flat three years ago.
Stallone's half-brother Michael, his wife and two others — had made a secret visit to Kankhal, Haridwar last week on Saturday.
They returned to Philadelphia after performing the 'tithi shradh', done for those who meet their end through accident or murder.
After the shradh of Sage, Michael also performed a ceremony for his sister Toni Ann, who died aged 48 in 2012.
