Mumbai: Bollywood actresses have openly come out in  support  of Aishwarya Rai on  the weight gain issue after pregnancy.

Lara Dutta, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol, Pooja Bhatt,  and Sameera Reddy say  that people are unnecessarily making such big issue on Ash's  post-pregnancy weight gain .

Bachchan bahu's post delivery weight has been a matter of hot discussion among the media since the time she appeared before the media (soon after her delivery), and at the Cannes Film Festival.

Actress Konkana Sen Sharma, who has given birth to a baby boy last year, supports Aishwarya Rai.

While promoting Anant Mahadevan's next on  Zoom TV, Konkana said, "I'm disgusted with people making such a big deal about post-pregnancy weight. Who cares whether someone loses weight, or doesn't? It's not that important. People should just let it be."

In an interview to a leading daily, Kajol said, "It's stupid to have this conversation. Everyone has the right to their lives and to look the way they want to! Tomorrow I can put on 25 kilos... it's my choice, my body! She's at home taking care of her baby."

Talking to a leading daily, Lara Dutta asked people not to be judgemental on Aishwarya's post pregnancy flab. She feels that no one has the right to pass comments on Ash's weight gain.

'Find this debate about Aishwarya Rai's weight inane. She is a gorgeous woman,  period. All the ugly people being malicious should take a hike!' Pooja Bhatt  tweeted.

Actress Sameera Reddy also urged the media to respect motherhood .

“such  fuss over Aishwarya Rai's post baby weight! i think its sad! the pressures of the celeb! she is a mother first! lets respect that!” she tweeted.

“Everyones body type is different,if she's taking time is OK..its her space, its her obligation to her child first!instead of some portions of the media, who decide what and when Ash should do with herself and her baby? Shallow and double standards, wonder if they'd do the same?” wrote Raveena on her twitter page.

Karisma said to a daily, “To each his own. Some women like to lose weight at their own pace, so it's okay.”
