Especially in case of office-goers, stiffness in neck and backache are all-time companions as their desk jobs do not allow much body movement.
Though yoga is the best way to get rid of neck and back pain however, one can also try these home remedies which are known to have worked effectively to a great extent in killing the pain.
One needs to try them atleast for a month to see the effect. Here are some of the knowingly most effective home remedies to kill the stiffness in neck and severe back pain.
Home remedies for Neck Pain
Take 1 tsp of turmeric powder. Mix it in a glass of milk and boil it on a low flame. After that allow it to cool and add some honey to it. Now drink this atleast two times a day to treat cervical pain.
Cut some small slices of ginger. Boil them in around 2 cups of water. Strain the ginger water and add honey to it. Now drink this tea atleast 2 to 3 times a day.
3) Cayenne Pepper (Dry red pepper)
Add 1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper powder to 2 tsp of lukewarm olive oil. Mix it well and then apply it on the sore areas of the neck. Do it atleast two times daily till the time pain does not perish.
4) Lavender Oil
Take bath with warm water and after that apply lavender oil on the paining area of the neck. Massage it in circular motion. Do this on regular basis for effective relief. You can also dilute the lavender oil with coconut oil or olive oil.
5) Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerful remedy to cure neck pain. It has very powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Soak a paper towel in Apple Cider Vinegar and place it over the affected area of neck. Let it be there for atleast couple of hours. Repeat twice daily until the pain is gone.
