As the scorching heat of summers affect our body causing infections and tanning, it has no less effect on our hair. When exposed to sun for a long time, our hair tends get dry and even brittle.
Though the dryness of the hair can be due to other reasons also like lack of nutrition, excessive use of chemicals but season affects it too!
The below-given home remedies can help you in getting rid of the summer dry hair and that too without spending much in parlours.
10. Apply Yogurt with Olive Oil
Yogurt can be your way out for getting rid of dry hair in summers.
Just take some yogurt, add some olive oil or Almond oil to it and massage it in your scalp gently. Apply it all over your hair and leave it for around half an hour.
Wash it off with mild shampoo.
9. Use eggs for dry and damaged hair
Protein is considered essential for hair. So what else could be better than egg which is said to be rich in protein? Using eggs for your hair will not only cleanse them but will also nourish and moisturise them.
For this take 1-2 eggs depending upon the length of your hair and beat them. Now add 1-2 tbsp lemon juice to the beaten eggs along with 2tsp of almond oil. While lemon juice will help in removing the smell of eggs, almond oil will help keeping your hair hydrated.
Now mix this mixture well to prepare a mask and massage it gently in your scalp. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, before washing it off with a mild shampoo.
8. Apply honey and egg yolk mixutre
With the scorching heat in summers is trying its best to tan our body, it is also affecting our hair adversely.
So to treat the sun caused dryness, take ½ cup honey, 1-2 tbsp olive oil and 1-2 tbsp of egg yolk and apply this mixture in your hair. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.
It is recommended to cover your hair while going out in sun.

Give your dry hair hot oil massage with almond oil. Massage it in your hair for atleast half an hour. Make sure you focus on scalp and end of the hair.
Don't be harsh while massaging as this may break your hair. Wash it off after one hour with mild shampoo and conditioner.
