New Delhi: Narendra Modi is one such man who has managed to beat out the tuxedo adoring Barack Obama and David Cameron with his desi attire.

Dressed up in crisp khaki kurtas, white pyjamas and nehru jacket, Narendra Modi is always the man of the moment.

As the nation woke up to his first Independence Day speech at Red Fort today, the man gave a glimpse of his roar.

With his agenda leading to BJP's triumph at the hustings, his influence is looms at large over the nation's fashion scene too and yielding rich dividends for designers.

In the highly volatile fashion world, where style statements change with changing seasons, Modi's wardrobe - simple yet polished, is making a wave.

Narendra Modi confesses that his penchant to "dress well" and ways mixing and matching of colours is "god gifted".

Modi is one such Indian politician of Independent India who has shunned the shabby and crumpled kurtas and dhotis/pyjamas: the staple political costume of the traditional Indian politician and has gone up to make his own signature style statement.

Modi's Nehru jackets have become quite hit among Indian youth.

"Nehru jackets are really in nowadays and be it youngsters or elders, everyone is following the trend," Ruchi Verma, 21 a student at Noida's Satyam Fashion Institute, said.

Barack Obama who's style made the world leaders sit up and clean themselves is now seeing a decline within his fashion followers.

Even UK's PM David Cameron seen as one of world's best dressed politician is seeing himself taking a backstage with his wardrobe choices.
