Gurugram horror: Woman gangraped by 7 on pretext on job, all nabbed
A 26-year-old house-keeping staff of a private company in Gurugram was allegedly gangraped by seven men on Tuesday night on pretext of job in a village near Bilaspur.
According to a report in Times of India, Gurugram Police said that the medical examination of the woman has confirmed rape, adding that all the seven accused have been arrested.
The seven accused have been identified as Kuldeep, Saket Sharma, Rakesh, Deepak, Jitendra, Amit and Kallu Ram, the woman's acquaintance.
The victim, in her police complaint, said that she was asked by Kallu – whom she had known for some time – to meet her at IMT Manesar on the promise of a job at a good company.
“Around 5.30 pm on Tuesday, Kallu called me and told me he had arranged a 'good job' for me. He asked me to reach IMT Chowk immediately. Trusting Kallu, I went to Manesar from Gurgaon. I reached there around 7 pm. Kallu told me to wait for some time for the 'supervisor' to come and take me to the company,” Times of India quoted the woman as saying.
“Some 15 minutes later, the so-called company supervisor arrived on his bike. He lured me to ride on his two-wheeler. But instead of taking me to the company, he took me to a room in Shankar Ki Dhani village near Bilaspur. Two persons were already there in the room and later three others joined them. All six of them, including the one who posed as the supervisor, took turns to rape me,” she added.
She then somehow managed to escape from there in the early hours of Wednesday. In her complaint, she told that the accused threatened her with dire consequences if she narrated her ordeal to anyone.
The woman, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, lives in a rented accommodation near Wazirabad village in Sector 51 with her husband and child. Her husband also works in a private company in Gurugram.
An FIR has been lodged at Manesar police station against the seven accused under sections 376-G (gang rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.
"All the accused have been arrested. The woman was duped by her acquaintance," said Ashok Bakshi, DCP (south), Gurgaon.
