New Delhi: In a mysterious incident, a 3-year-old boy living in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar is missing from last seven years without a single trace of him.

The boy named Mehran Lateef went missing on 13 May 2008 and now around seven years after the incident, there is no clue about the guy, if he has been kidnapped or murdered.

The incident happened, when Mehran was returning home from the school with his mother. On the way, he stooped at a shop for buying candies and after that there is no clue about the whereabouts of the toddler.

His mysterious disappearance came as a shocker for the family, which is totally shattered after loosing him. Mother and father are still hoping for Mehran's well being and waiting for him to come back to them.

Boy's family and localities have protested several times against the state government's failure, but the result is always zero.

Noticeably, on 29 November 2013, the Jammu Kashmir High Court transferred the case to CBI after the local police and Crime Branch failed to trace the missing boy.

CBI has announced a big reward for the person giving trace of the boy. Several posters from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi are lined up to get the clue, but of no use.

This seven year long battle has deteriorated the financial condition of Mehran's family. But they are still pleading the state government to carry on the search operation.
