Gurgaon: A Gurgaon Traffic policeman on Sunday hit a rickshaw puller with a lathi on his head for entering a road crossing that was cordoned off for Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's convoy to pass.

Dr Anil Gupta said, the injury near the victim's eye needed immediate stitching.

No FIR has been filed so far. The Gurgaon civil hospital authorities have informed Sector 5 police station about this incident.

The rickshaw puller has been advised complete bed rest. "Thankfully, he doesn't have any serious head injury. but his face is badly swollen" said Dr Gupta.

AAP member Sagar Yadav demanded that the chief minister must apologize and the erring cop must be punished.

"This is a matter of political high handedness and police brutality. We demand that the government must give compensation to Sanjay Sahu", Yadav said.
