Air India flight's tyre bursts while landing at Srinagar Airport, all passengers safe
Srinagar: Air India Flight AI821 today suffered a tyre burst while landing at Srinagar Airport. According to reports, the flight bound from Jammu to Srinagar had 149 passengers on board when the accident happened.
The airport authorities have said that all passengers are safe and have been taken to the terminal building.
The aircraft came to rest in the middle of airport's single runway and it has caused delay in flights departing from Srinagar whereas flights arriving to Srinagar are said to be diverted to the Chandigarh Airport.
Air India, however, is operating in full swing to clear the runway at the earliest to bring back air traffic to normalcy. As reported, a relief aircraft is about to reach Srinagar to operate AI822 on the return sector Srinagar.
