Shocking! Air India serves lizard in meal on Delhi-London flight
New Delhi: Next time when you fly into an Air India flight and order a meal, look for a ‘free lizard', because that is what the national carrier is serving its flyers now.
In a London bound flight from Delhi on Thursday, a lizard was found in the lunch tray of a passenger.
Soon after the flight AI 111 took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport, a passenger asked for a special meal. When the flight attendant got the food tray from the galley, the passenger found a dead lizard in it.
The lunch, which was wrapped in a cling film, had a dead lizard under a burger, seeing this, the passenger started screaming. Most of the passengers refused their meal after the incident.
The passenger concerned has filed a complaint with the airline.
Reacting on the issue, Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that it's a serious issue and promised that the culprits will be held responsible.
“Air India is not expected to serve lizards, nor are cooks expected to cook lizards,” said Raju.
