BITS (Goa) student gets Rs 1.4 crore salary package from Google

New Delhi: Krunal Kishorbhai Patel, a BITS Pilani, Goa, student has received an offer of Rs 1.4 crore starting annual salary offer from Internet giant Google.

The 21-year old is presently pursuing a dual degree -- BE (honours) in computer science and MSc (honours) in Mathematics at BITS, Goa campus.

The company has offered Patel a position of Software Engineer at its headquarters located in Mountain View, California.

It is expected that Patel will join the company in October next year.

Patel said that it was difficult for him to believe when his recruiter called him to present the offer. “It was the best day of my life," he added.

Google had conducted APAC test for students who are graduating in October 2015 from different universities across Asia. Patel ranked second in India and globally he bagged the eighth position in the test.

Patel hails from Rajkot, Gujarat.
