Bomb scare on Lucknow Shatabdi Express, train evacuated at Ghaziabad
New Delhi: Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express was evacuated at Ghaziabad railway station this morning after the reports of bomb scare on train.
All the passengers of the train were moved out at Ghaziabad and the coaches were searched thoroughly for more than an hour.
Authorities said the scare was triggered by a letter received by them threatening of terror attacks on Kanpur-bound trains.
The New Delhi railway station was being searched. Bomb squad with sniffer dogs have been put in action.
The Railway was informed by Mumbai ATS after the latter received an e-mail threatening of a bomb blast on the Delhi-Lucknow train.
Since the letter followed the terror attack by Pakistan-based ultras in Punjab's Pathankot, New Delhi has been put on high alert.
The busy New Delhi railway station is being searched by security personnel and the dog squad of the Delhi Police.
