CRPF trooper commits suicide in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu: A CRPF trooper committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Wednesday.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper Manoj Kumar consumed some poisonous substance at the force's Kakryal training camp on Tuesday evening, a police officer told IANS here.
Manoj was a native of Haryana.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, the official said.
A case has been registered and an inquiry launched to find out the exact cause behind the extreme step, the official said.
With 230 battalions and various other establishments, the CRPF is considered India's largest paramilitary force.
