Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee is believed to have decided not to entertain any request from Andhra Pradesh government seeking extension of time for the Assembly to debate on the draft Telangana bill beyond January 23.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is seeking more time and preparing for a marathon speech on the Telangana Bill to be presented in the Assembly.

According to sources, the Chief Minister has prepared more than 400 pages and plans to speak for one whole day.

However, highly placed sources in New Delhi ruled out the possibility of extension of time for the Assembly to debate on the AP Reorganisation Bill, 2013.

The President has given six weeks' time for the Assembly to express its views on the bill and return it by January 23.
