Kolkata, Sept 21 : Maoists have launched a helpline on the foundation day of CPI (Maoist) on Tuesday for people to register grievances and complaints against any errant cadre, a Maoist leader said.

"People can call up on 9933655800 to lodge complaint against any Maoist cadre. Actions will be taken if the allegations are proved to be true," spokesperson for Bengal-Jharkhand-Orissa Border Regional Committee of Maoists Bikram told PTI from an undisclosed location.

"It will be operational daily for two hours from 6:00 pm (IST) from tomorrow(Tuesday)," he said.

If anyone has any complaint against Maoists, then people can call up and register their complaints, he said.

On September 21, 2004, Maoist Communist Centre of India and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist-People's War) had joined to form CPI(Maoist).

The agreement had been signed between Kishan, General Secretary, Central Committee of Maoist Communist Centre of India and Ganapathy, General Secretary Central Committee, CPI (M-L People's War). PTI
