Idukki: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagawat addressed workers of various bodies of Sangh Parivar and RSS workers in Thodupuzha in the district as part of his week long programmes in the state.

Addressing the RSS cadres on Wednesday evening, Bhagawat asked RSS activists to work for building a strong society, which he said was the life of nation.

He would be holding close interactions with top RSS office-bearers in the state as part of efforts to step up the activities of the outfit and extend its influence at all tiers of the society, RSS sources said.

Bhagwat will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of Aravinda Vidya Mandir and participate in a meeting of state functionaries of RSS in Kerala and Tamil Nadu at Kottayam Pallikkathod on August 30.

He will reach Thiruvananthapuram on August 31 and will fly back to Nagpur on September 1.
