New Delhi: India's most wanted man and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief, Hafiz Saeed, has condemned the Mumbai terror attack in which 164 people were killed and over 300 injured.

"When the incident (Mumbai attack) took place and I was blamed for it, I called the media and clarified that I was not responsible. The very first day I challenged that India can not prove my involvement in the attack and till date India is yet to prove that," he said.

Saeed is a major irritant in the already strained relationship between India and Pakistan as New Delhi has expressed its resentment over his not being brought to book for the Mumbai attack.

He runs the Lahore-based Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), which he claims to be running for humanitarian charity. The JuD has been blacklisted by the US, which has described it as a foreign terrorist organisation.

Few days back, it was revealed that Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which probed the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, never investigated the role of Saeed in the attack.

Meanwhile, Saeed, who is actively involved in spewing venom against India, recently visited some villages bordering India in Jammu and Kashmir.
