Around 300 terrorists are preparing to sneak into India from 12 terror launch pads in Pakistan, an intelligence report has said.
According to a report in DNA, intelligence agencies have submitted a report based on human intelligence and technical surveillance which identifies these terror launch pads that became active after India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in September last year.
The report submitted by the intelligence agencies has also identified the "reception" areas in Indian territory where these terrorists would be received by their handlers.
According to the report, the vulnerable reception areas where the terrorists meet their handlers, who provide them logistics and money, are Lojab Valley, Rajwar forest, Bandipora, Kazikund, Rafiabad and Naugam.
"Usually, the infiltration reduces during winter as the terrain gets tough due to heavy snow in some areas. But in view of the current situation, it could be a tough winter for the forces," a security official was quoted as saying by DNA.
Intelligence agencies have also revealed that JuD chief Hafiz Saeed, JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar and HuM chief Syed Salahuddin had given a call to terrorists to exploit the vulnerable situation and continue with regular strikes on Indian security forces.
Quoting from the inputs provided by the intelligence agencies, the DNA report says that after India's surgical strikes, the Pakistani Army has been carrying out a "precautionary deployment" all along the LoC on their side to fill up the gaps fearing another round of strikes from Indian forces.
