New Delhi: A woman from North Waziristan gave birth to six babies at a hospital in Bannu district on Friday.

Reports say the woman from Datta Khel area of North Waziristan gave birth to four male and two female babies at a private clinic in Bannu.

Doctors said the sextuplets and the mother were healthy and in a stable condition.

The woman had gone to the clinic for a routine appointment to see how her pregnancy was progressing, although she later gave birth to her six children.

Earlier on January 22, a woman gave birth to quadruplets in Tibba Murtaza Shah area of Punjab's Bhakkar district.

Last year on October 24, another woman gave birth to quintuplets at Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar. Sabira, 35, belonged to Malakand district.
