‘I know the length of the cigarettes she smokes’: new TMC recruit targets BJP’s Roopa Ganguly
New Delhi: In what could be termed as a new low in remarks against politicians, a member of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress today mouthed some untoward comments against actor-turned-politician Roopa Ganguly.
"I know the length of the cigarettes she smokes. She really is Draupadi,” said Rezzakh Mollah, who joined the Trinamool in February after getting expelled from the Left government in 2014.
When quizzed for a reaction to the outburst against her, Ganguly said it was beneath her dignity to comment on such remarks.

Her party has registered a complaint about the statements made by Mollah with the Election Commission and has demanded strict action against him. The remarks have drawn criticism from several quarters.
Mollah did not just target Ganguly, he had even targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said, "If there's infighting in the party, they look to give a ticket to some glamorous person - like Moon Moon Sen. What work will Moon Moon Sen do?"
Roopa Ganguly is contesting from Howrah North near Kolkata against former cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla.
