Narrow escape for Union minister J P Nadda as lift at BJP’s Telangana office comes crashing down
Hyderabad: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda today had a miraculous escape as a lift carrying the senior BJP leader, among others, came crashing down from the first floor of a building here.
The incident occurred when the lift carrying Nadda, who is currently on a visit to Telangana, developed a technical snag and slipped from the first floor of the building and came crashing down to the ground floor.
The incident happened at the BJP office of Telangana. According to sources, Nadda is safe and carried on with his scheduled programme.
Those accompanying Nadda incuded BJP MLC Ramachandra Rao, NVVS Prabhakar and some other local leaders. All leaders were rescued from the lift safely.
Though no injuries have been reported, an enquiry has been ordered into the incident, given the seriousness of the matter.
According to eyewitnesses, a cable snap led to the accident.
