After the Telangana Joint Action Committee and the Students Joint Action Committee it is now the turn of the BJP-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad to flex its muscles on the issue of Telangana.

With the Andhra Pradesh High Court granting conditional permission, the way is now clear for the ABVP to organise its 'Rana Bheri' rally in support of a separate Telangana state on Saturday, which will be addressed by senior party leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj.

As in the case of the rally by the Students Joint Action Committee, the court directed the police to allow only students to attend the rally.

The ABVP had knocked on the doors of high court after the police denied permission. The court also directed that no provocative speeches should be delivered at the rally.

The police are now making elaborate security arrangement for the rally at the Nizam College Grounds.

The BJP has taken a clear pro-Telangana stand and has urged the Congress party to bring a Bill in Parliament for the states' formation.

Former BJP President Rajnath Singh, who had come to Hyderabad to visit ailing party leader M Venkaiah Naidu in a private hospital, on Friday told media persons that his party was ready to support the Telangana Bill in Parliament.

"Congress and the UPA government have not dealt with the Telangana issue properly," he said, adding, "It is a very sensitive issue and the central government should clarify its stand at the earliest."
