Bengaluru rape case: If their daughters are raped, CM and HM will act differently, says ex minister Eshwarappa
Bengaluru: BJP leader and ex- deputy CM KS Eshwarappa has received much flak and criticism for his statement ,in which he had said that CM Siddaramaiah and Home Minister KJ George would wake up only if their daughters get raped because they do not consider every individual as their own
BJP however has made it clear that it does not approve of such insensitive statements. The party president has apologised and the party has distanced itself from the remark of the ex-minister.
On the other hand, the ruling Congress party which was on backfoot after a sudden rise in rape cases in IT city got an issue and the party workers have been protesting outside Eshwarappa's residence after his insensitive statement
This remark comes as Benguluru is still reeling under a number of sexual assaults cases taking place involving school children.
