As suspense over continuation of Shibu Soren as Jharkhand chief minister persists, BJP President Nitin Gadkari would meet several leaders of the state on Saturday to try to resolve the political crisis.

"I will be going to Jharkhand day after tomorrow (Saturday) and will meet those who are related with the issue," Gadkari told reporters in Panaji.

He said the BJP, which is part of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led ruling alliance, will find a solution in interest of the mineral-rich state. "We don't want Congress to benefit by dividing small parties," Gadkari, who is on a two-day visit to Goa, said.

The BJP chief said he would be able to comment further on the political developments in Jharkhand only after the meeting. Gadkari refused to comment on whether BJP will push for change of leadership in the state.

Uncertainty prevails over JMM-BJP government after the latter withdrew support to the ruling alliance barely months after polls threw up a hung Assembly.

The crisis was triggered after Soren voted in favour of the UPA during a cut motion brought up by the Opposition in Lok Sabha on April 27.

Soren's son Hemant had subsequently written to BJP leaders expressing their willingness to remain with the party, which has put on hold its decision to withdraw support. PTI
