Despite having similar resources, why Jharkhand remains poor but Australia is developed, asks Narendra Modi
Daltonganj (Jharkhand): Sharing his experience of Australia visit with the people of Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wondered as to why Jharkhand still remained poor and underdeveloped while Australia is so developed despite both having similar resources.
Addressing an election rally at Daltonganj in Jharkhand, Narendra Modi said that those who are in power in Jharkhand were neck-deep in corruption.
“We are rich in coal so are they. Our population is equal. But how is it that Jharkhand remained poor and Australia got developed? So, what's the reason behind this? What is it that smashed your dreams?” asked Modi.
Modi blasted Hemant Soren government for saying that they'll not allow ministers from Delhi to enter the state. He reminded the audience that he, as Chief Minister of Gujarat, never said this.
“The government here says they will not allow ministers from Delhi to come. Is that how it works? This is not done. When I was in power in Gujarat, I never said Delhi ministers will not be allowed in the state. Jharkhand govt doesnt want Modi's ministers to come because they know they will expose their misdeeds. That's the reason why some of the ministers were attacked. Arrogance does not work in democracy,” added Modi.
Modi requested the people of Jharkhand to give BJP a clear majority so that he gets a chance to serve the people of the state.
“Help us win these elections with majority so that we could change the fate of you people…. I requests youths to take note of this.. help Jharkhnad to get a good govt,” said Modi.
