MS Dhoni wastes 15,000 litres of water per day in swimming pool, alleges neighbour
Ranchi (Jharkhand): It seems that controversies are not ready to leave Indian Cricket team captain MS Dhoni as one of his neighbours has now accused him of maintaining his personal swimming pool by wasting 15,000 litres of water every day.
This allegation by Dhoni’s neighbour comes amidst the acute water crisis as people are waiting in long queues to collect water in most parts of the country.
According to his neighbour, the locality is going through a severe water crisis but the 34-year-old uses 15000 litres of water daily to fill his swimming pool.
“We have four bore wells but they do not work. And right next to our house is Dhoni's house where thousands litre of water is wasted daily. The authorities must look into it,” said fuming Raju Sharma.
The local residents have also lodged a complaint against Dhoni to state revenue minister Amar Bauri who assured to work on this matter.
According to Yamunagar residents, people are facing shortage of quality water where Dhoni needs thousands litres of water just to remove thirst of his pool.
However, Dhoni’s advisor has refuted the claims and told that the pool is only used when the player is in town.
The controversy regarding his swimming pool is not new to Dhoni, as in 2007, his neighbours raised objections regarding its construction and filed a plea in the court.
