IPL Auction: Gambhir retained, Sehwag out of favour

Mumbai: Team India dashing bastman Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, out of favour Gautam gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan and Chris Gayle are among the few paleyers who have been retained by their respective franchises. Out of form and out of Team India Virendra Sehwag will have to go under hammer to play in the next edition of IPL.

The fresh auction will take place next month and franchises have been given option of retaining their five players.earlier it used to be four players.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has retained Virat Kohli  along with Chris Gayle and AB divilliers.

‎Mumbai Indian has retained  its skipper Rohit Sharma.  Dinesh Kartik, Ambati Rayudu and Pollard too have found favour with the owner of the team. Mumbai has not yet decided on lasith Malinga and Mitchell Johnson.

Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders will  continue with Sunil Narein and Gautam Gambhir who failed to make it in to Indian team, scheduled to tour New Zealand next week.

Delhi Dare Devils has not decided on its players but according to sources once a hard hitting opener Virendra Sehwag is no more its favorite player and he might have to go under hammer to find a taker.

Rajasthan Royals has retained  Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson, James Faukner and Shane Watson. Similarly Sunrisers Hydrabad has stuck with Shikhar Dhawan.
