Meet Stuart Binny who surpassed Kumble's ODI record
New Delhi: Team India is on its short yet crucial ODI campaign against the host Bangladesh before they go for England tour. After the comprehensive win in the first ODI, Indian batting line up was severely traumatized by Bangladesh bowlers as they were bowled out for mere 105 runs.
The target looked easy to be chased but what happened next may be the dream for Mohit Sharma, Stuart Binny and all the Bangladeshi fans. Mohit's 4-22 and Binny's record 6-4 saved India from humiliation as they bundled out Bangladesh for a record 58 runs in 17.4 overs to help the visitors defend their lowest score against the hosts.
Binny, whose figures are best by any Indian bowler in ODI`s bettering Anil Kumble`s 6-12 against West Indies in 1993. Let's know more about this emerging Indian player.
The son of former Indian allrounder Roger Binny, Stuart has established himself as a very useful cricketer in the same discipline. He made his Karnataka debut in the 2003-04 seasons but couldn't maintain a regular place in the first-class line-up. He considers himself a limited-overs specialist and when the Indian Cricket League came calling in 2007, he signed up and made a name for himself as one of the tournament's premier allrounders.
