New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 43rd birthday today. The batting maestro may have retired from cricket in November 2013 but he is still adored by his millions of fans.

He continues to remain an inspiration for sportspersons across the world!

Here we take a look at some of the unseen moments the cricket legend with his family - wife Anjali and children Sara and Arjun.

Sachin used to sleep with his cricket gear during his junior days. Contrary to what you'd imagine, he was a big bully in school!

For Sachin and Anjali, it was love at first sight. The two of them first met at the Mumbai International Airport and later at a common friend's place when they got to know each other better.

Sachin himself has said that he always makes sure to vent his anger and frustration only at home. Perhaps that is why he remains to this day, the only star of his stature who has never been known to lose his cool.

Anjali, who is a paediatrician, gave up her promising medical career but doesn't regret her decision.

Unlike his father Arjun is a left handed batsman, who is often spotted with his father and other members of the Indian team during the training camps and practice sessions.

Sachin's wife would never eat or drink while Sachin was batting! Talk about lady luck!

The first brand that Sachin endorsed was health drink 'Boost'. He even featured in many TV adverts alongside Kapil Dev starting 1990.

A music lover, Sachin loves listening to Kishore Kumar and the rock band Dire Straits. Here's wishing Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar a Happy Birthday.

During his school days he few his hair and tied a band around it to copy idol John McEnroe. His friends even admired him by calling him 'McEnroe.'

His coach at Shardashram, Ramakant Achrekar, used to offer a one rupee coin as prize to any bowler who dismissed him. If he remained not out, the coin belonged to Sachin. The little master has many of those coins.
