Cricketer Sreesanth eyes for Telugu films debut

New Delhi: The bad boy of Indian cricket, S Sreesanth left behind all spot-fixing allegations and his subsequent arrest behind him when he made a public comeback in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. And now he is going for something bigger by making his film debut with Tollywood's love story.

While still hoping to play for India in the World Cup 2015, at the moment he is busy in finalizing projects in Telugu film industry. Recently he met the biggies of the industry like Madhura Shreedhar, Puri Jagannadh and other directors and had a fruitful discussion with them.

In an interview to leading English daily, he said, “It's a story of a middle-class cricketer and I was approached to play the lead.” “I can't reveal more details right now, as I want him to announce the project, may be in a week or so. All I can say is that you'll see me acting soon”, he added.

He is also composing music for the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Anbulla Azhage. Says Sree, "I've composed six to seven songs. I used to compose in school, but had to leave it for cricket. Now that I'm away from cricket for some time, I want to do this."

Sreesanth was banned from cricket by the Board of Control for Cricket in India last September, and has since then, tried to make his way into the entertainment and film industry. He has been part of reality shows. After participating in popular dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7', from which he stormed out after he was criticized by judges, he is likely to be seen in another reality show, “Bigg Boss season 8”.
